4-reel cable robot
CPGE/Univ

Overview:

The RC-4 Cable Robot uses four cables connected to individually controlled reels to move a mobile device in a vertical plane. The challenge is to keep the cables taut for precise and rapid movement.

The RC-4 was designed to control trajectory synchronization, position and speed control with position interpolation.

PC configuration, control, and acquisition:

3 control modes:
- Positioning mode: position and speed control with positioning interpolation to manage trajectories
- Torque mode: current control for learning
- Test mode: to independently apply the winders in stages, position and current profile

Cycle management with programming by input or learning

Adjustment of movement and servo parameters

Control of mobile movement with an application
